Our outdoor exhibit, the Pollinator Playground, offers a fun, non-threatening, and accessible way for children and families to approach new information about urban agriculture, including food and water systems by connecting science with gardening . Children can explore a variety of textures and smells in our garden beds and can experiment with different types of hand pumps on our water barrels created by Penn State Beaver students. The pollinator garden also connects families to our local urban farming ecosystem, such as our local Farmer’s Market, urban green spaces, and Community Garden. The Pollinator Playground is also home to our 5 Harmony Freenote musical flowers outdoor exhibit.
